Biography:   Hi there, my name's Kaylee (well, most of the time) I'm in my 30s now, though I was nearly 23 when I joined here as a reader. I'm honored to be selected to add my stories here. I'll try not to overwhelm people by adding them all at once. I absolutely adore LotR, especially Galadriel and the rest of the Galadhrim, and the Valar I've also become quite attached to the Fourth Age inhabitants of Gondor and Arnor, and some Hobbits, especially those of the Quest and their descendants. I love the Valar - my favorite representation of them is in Fiondil's works, and I have emulated his writing with my own since his passing. He called me his daughter, and gave me permission to play in his world. I hope I am a worthy heir. My stories can be found (besides here) at Many Paths To Tread, Archive of Our Own, and the Silmarillion Writers' Guild. ~Kaylee Arafinwiel
bullet A Tapestry of Arda Last Updated: 2/20/2020

Starting this off with "Not So High A King" - in T.A. 249, the grandson of Isildur ascends Arnor's throne under a rather more distant grandsire's watchful eyes, with a beloved uncle to aid him. "The Hope of the Dunedain" - Aragorn through the years, pre-War of the Ring.

bullet A Proper Tale for a Baggins Last Updated: 5/2/2019
This story is dedicated to Dreamflower, whose prompt inspired it, and from whom I took the idea for Bilbo's bedtime story. My Hobbit characterization owes a lot to Dreamflower generally, and no doubt other nods to her fics will be evident! At the age of 11, Bilbo is the equivalent of 7 in human years. (Characters: Bilbo Baggins, Bungo Baggins & Belladonna Took) Eleven-year-old Bilbo Baggins asks for a different bedtime story one night...

bullet The Old Took's Faunts Last Updated: 9/2/2018
Bilbo Baggins' mother, uncles and aunts were young once, too. Very young. This is the story of their third birthdays, their coming into faunthood, giving of the First Gifts, and their growing relationships with each other. The twelve children of Thain Gerontius and Lady Adamanta Took were the largest family noted in Hobbit records until that of Sam and Rosie Gamgee - and like any family, they had their ups and downs.
