Such a beautifully heart breaking story, made me cry. So wonderful to see LothÝriel interact with her grandsons and then ending with her peacefully seek ╔omer at the sunrise. Just beautiful. Thank you

Author Reply: I actually cried while writing this, it's probably the most personal of my stories. Thanks for taking the time to write a review and your kind words!

Great story and perspective of the period after Eomer's death. It really makes me feel the warmth of their happy memories, memories I feel as if I had been a part of them. Love the portratisation, as well as the use of language and the pacing of the story - as always is the case with your stories. Thank you so much for writing this!

Author Reply: Hello Annie
thank you! When I wrote this story a lot of their backstory and that of their children came to me, though most of it is only mentioned peripherally. I don't know it I'll ever find the time to write it down though. Glad to hear you liked it and thanks for your kind words!

An absolutely beautiful story, every emotion is earned here. Lovely descriptions and I just ached for Lothiriel. This is the story of life, the way it is when the beloved of one's life passes on. Thank you.

Author Reply: Hello Elfscribe,
a lot of my personal experience went into this story, so perhaps that is why it rings true. Thank you for reviewing!

Beautiful story. I enjoy your descriptions of the land, and there are so many little details that make the story rich; that I would call excellent writing style. I like the characterization, too. Perfectly done! :)

Author Reply: Hello Ellynn,
thank you. I've written so much about Rohan and Meduseld, down to making plans of the hall and the surroundings, that it's almost real to me! And I'm pleased to hear you like my characterization of Eomer and Lothiriel.

Thanks for reviewing.

This was very moving, sad yet hopeful. I liked it that your Lothiriel did not fade from grief like many of Tolkien's heroines. An excellent story.

Author Reply: Hello Linda,
That's an interesting point. I have to admit, I never even considered that she might fade from grief, to me this Lothiriel always seemed too strong minded and too much down to earth to do so. Although she might have wanted to for a while.

Thanks for reviewing.

A touching and sensitive portrayal of a mourning Lothiriel. I like the way you've shown how life goes on and the grief still remains vivid and real. Hints of teh earlier story were woven in nicely.

Author Reply: Hello Virtuella,
yes, I have found that life going on can be both a blessing and a curse in this situation and I tried to show this in how she takes joy in her family and friends, yet the grief is still there as well.

It's good to hear you liked it.

And if anyone anywhere will keep his promise, it is Eomer son of Eomund, and particularly when the promise was made to his beloved wife. Yes, he remains here, too--kept alive by living memories and children who inherited their grandfather's smile and so much else! She is so lucky!

Author Reply: Hello Larner,
I agree with you, Eomer is very much the man to keep his promises, even beyond the grave. I think she knows she's lucky, but accepting her grief will take a while and in between the good days will also be bad ones.

Thanks for reviewing

Beautifully done, Lia! I was, of course, left weeping, but the story ended on a positive and hopeful note.

Author Reply: Hello Barbara,
I tried to end the story on a positive note, without negating her grief, so I'm really pleased to hear that it worked for you. From personal experience I know coping with grief is very much a continual process with its ups-and-downs.

This was a real tearjerker, but the consoling thought is that they lived a full, happy life together. I liked the back story of their children as well.

Author Reply: Hello whitewave,
sorry to make you cry! But it's good to hear you liked the story. Also thinking about their children and grandchildren gave me quite a few ideas, so I'll have to see what comes of it.

Oh, I'm all teary-eyed now, but they're good tears. What a beautiful, romantic story. How fortunate for anyone to find a love like this.

Author Reply: Hello shirebound,
I went through quite a few tissues myself while writing this. But I agree, she was fortunate to find Eomer. Maybe one day I'll write a more cheerful story about the times they had together.
